T. Jason Weedon

Senior Vice President, Corporate Relations & Strategic Partnerships 

T. Jason Weedon joined the Washington, D.C. office in September 1999. He currently serves on the Achieve executive leadership team and oversees Achieve’s corporate relations and strategic partnerships, directly managing relationships with over two dozen major foundations, corporations and philanthropic organizations, in support of Achieve’s current and future activities and projects.  In this role, Weedon helped to win a $186 million Race to the Top Assessment award in 2010.  Over the past several years, he has helped Achieve double its size and dramatically diversity its funding base. 

Over more than a decade at Achieve, Weedon held a range of positions, most recently serving as Chief Administrative Officer.  Before holding that position, he managed Achieve’s National Education Summits in 2001 and 2005, oversaw its communications activities, managed its Public Leadership Initiative and assisted in the development of the organization’s Benchmarking Initiative.

Prior to joining Achieve, he taught English and academic writing at the high school, college and graduate levels in the United States and abroad.  While on the language faculty at Central European University, he also served as Admissions and Recruitment Coordinator traveling extensively throughout Central Europe and the former Soviet Union to offer tuition-free graduate educations to scholars engaged in rebuilding civil societies in that region following the break up of the Soviet Union in 1989.    

Weedon holds a master’s degree in educational leadership from the George Washington University and a bachelor’s degree with majors in both history and English from the College of William and Mary.

He lives in Washington DC and serves on the national board of Young Education Professionals (YEP) and is proud to have been chosen as Team Leader in 2010 for one of the first Back on My Feet-DC running teams in 2010.
