Director of Finance  

Karen Rosenthal, CPA, joined Achieve as Director of Finance in February 2011. In her role as Director of Finance she oversees day-to-day finance operations, including responsibility over accounting, grants management, contracts, budget development, forecast and monitoring, outside audit and federal financial reports, tax reporting, payroll, and financial policies and procedures.

Prior to joining Achieve, Karen was Chief Financial Officer, from 1993 to 2009, for a nonprofit organization providing health care services to the elderly. She started her career working for several public accounting firms, including Big 4 experience. She has extensive experience in financial management and reporting, strategic planning, budgeting, treasury management, and information technology project oversight and implementation.

A native Washingtonian, Karen earned her bachelor's degree from Mount Vernon College and resides in Rockville, Maryland with her husband and children.
