Kevin Michael Days

Associate Director, Postsecondary Engagement
Kevin Michael Days joined Achieve in June 2011 as the Associate Director for Postsecondary Engagement. Previously, coming to Achieve, Kevin served as Learn and Serve America’s Advisor for Higher Education Special Initiatives at the Corporation for National and Community Service, the federal agency charged with supporting national service. Before moving to the DC metro area, Kevin was the first executive director of the New York Campus Compact, a consortium of 50 New York State colleges and universities dedicated to revitalizing the public service mission of higher education. From 1997 to 2002, Kevin has served as the executive director of the Booker T. Washington Community Center (BTW) in Auburn, New York. Kevin was elected to the Board of Education for the Auburn Enlarged City School District in May 2001, serving as its Vice President during the last year of his term.
Kevin was born in Brooklyn and is a proud New Yorker and New York Football Giants fan. Kevin received his bachelor's degree in History from SUNY Plattsburgh and a master's degree in American History from Cornell University where, as a doctoral candidate, he worked on a dissertation that studied African American race films made in the early twentieth century. Kevin lives in Burke, VA, with his wife, Margaret and his three beautiful children, Xavier, Katharine, and Quincy.
