Research Associate
Allison Barr joined Achieve as a Policy Analyst in September 2008. As a member of the content and policy research team, she primarily conducts research on state policy efforts in support of the American Diploma Project and related initiatives. Prior to joining Achieve, Allison was a Research Assistant at the American Institutes for Research, where she researched a variety of education issues including the use of education technology in schools as well as state and district implementation of the federal Reading First program.
Allison also spent a year as a Graduate Intern at the National League of Cities Institute for Youth, Education, and Families, focusing on local education and afterschool initiatives. Allison holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Allegheny College and a master’s of public policy from The George Washington University.
