Research Associate
Morgan Saxby joined Achieve as a Project Associate in November 2008. As a member of the content and policy research team, Morgan works on a number of key initiatives including Achieve’s international benchmarking work and its efforts to update the 2004 American Diploma Project Benchmarks in English and mathematics, which outline what students need to know and be able to do to be prepared for college and careers.
Before joining Achieve, Morgan was an Account Executive at Hager Sharp, a public relations firm. At Hager Sharp he worked primarily on developing materials in support of the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP), the 2008 Condition of Education, and the Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS). Prior to that, he taught fourth grade in the District of Columbia Public School system, and is a Teach for America alumnus.
Morgan holds a bachelor’s degree in English and American Studies from the University of Virginia, and a master’s degree in Elementary Education from American University.
