E3: Employers for Education Excellence is a statewide non-profit organization, founded by the Oregon Business Council, which brings together employers and schools to improve student achievement in Oregon public schools. Literacy Partners connects employers to middle schools and students in their community. The middle grades are a pivotal time in the development of literacy skills. It is in these years that schools shift their focus from learning to read to using reading to learn.
