The Texas Business Education Coalition (TBEC) was formed by business leaders in 1989 to engage with educators to improve public education in Texas. The following materials highlight the many initiatives TBEC advocates for in education policy to drive support for improved student performance. This presentation was given at the 10th annual VIP briefing, and it outlines the important of science, engineering, math and technology for the economy and, subsequently, the educational system.
