Founded in 2004 by Foundations For A Better Oregon, The Chalkboard Project is sponsored by a growing list of independent Oregon foundations to help create an independent and non-partisan group to inform and engage the public to understand and address the tough choices and trade-offs required to build strong schools in Oregon. This report summarizes the situation in Oregon as of 2005, and it proposes 15 points of action for moving forward with reform.
