  • College For Texans

    College for Texans, a project of the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, is an outreach and media campaign designed to enroll an additional 300,000 academically prepared students — beyond the 200,000 enrollment growth predicted on the basis of trends — into Texas higher education by 2015. The following materials were used for the statewide campaign, which utilized television and radio ads in addition to other tools and resources to inform students and families about preparing, applying and paying for college or technical school. Included are television and radio ads in both English and Spanish, and a cartoon aimed at preschool and elementary school-age children.

  • Texas Business Education Coalition

    The Texas Business Education Coalition (TBEC) was formed by business leaders in 1989 to engage with educators to improve public education in Texas. The following materials highlight the many initiatives TBEC advocates for in education policy to drive support for improved student performance. This presentation was given at the 10th annual VIP briefing, and it outlines the important of science, engineering, math and technology for the economy and, subsequently, the educational system.
