The following information is used to promote rigorous academic standards and ensure accountability. This 23-slide presentation outlines the results of a 2002 poll of registered voters in California. The purpose of this poll was to compare California to national polls; to survey the extent of the public’s understanding of standards, testing and accountability; and to measure the strength of public opinion on the subject of testing.
