Schools work harder to prepare students for workplace

High school graduates often lack the basic skills to solve problems, complete basic math questions, and verbally communicate that are required for success in the workplace, according to area business leaders. To address this problem, Tennessee is participating in the American Diploma Project Network, which consists of 31 states working to raise high school standards so they align with the skills students need to get jobs after graduation.
