

Senior Policy Associate, Postsecondary Engagement
Callie Riley joined Achieve in August 2010 and currently serves as Senior Policy Associate for Postsecondary Engagement. As a member of the Postsecondary Engagement team, she supports Achieve's college- and career-ready mission through work with the postsecondary community, including the higher education outreach and engagement strategy for the Partnership for the Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC).
Before joining Achieve, Callie taught junior high school English in the Kuji City (Japan) public school system and reading at Glenridge Middle School in Orlando, Florida. While in graduate school, she held a Graduate Assistantship with the University of Maryland's QUEST Honors Program which draws high-achieving students from engineering, business and computer and physical science backgrounds to work on interdisciplinary, experiential learning projects.
A Florida native, Callie holds a bachelor's in East Asian Studies and Political Science from Wittenberg University (Ohio). She also earned her master's in Educational Leadership and Policy from the University of Maryland, College Park where she researched the adaptation of global to local education policies and how cultural factors influence social and educational movements for change in Japan.
