Senior Associate, Mathematics

Dr. Twianie Roberts serves as the Senior Mathematics Associate for PARCC (Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers). She is responsible for coordinating and supporting the day-to-day activities of the design and development of PARCC mathematics assessments and associated tools for the 24 state consortium. She works closely with the Achieve PARCC Assessment Design team and coordinates with state mathematics design teams, relevant task forces and with the Achieve PARCC Research team to support and conduct research for the assessments and assessment models.

Her education consists of a bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Fisk University, a master’s degree in Mathematics from Tennessee State University and a doctoral degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from Tennessee State University. She has nearly 20 years of teaching experience at the K-12 and university levels. Her state level experience includes Content Advisory, Range Finding, Model Assessment, Standards Clarification and Bias Review work.

She has supervised Academic Achievement, Evaluation, Dual Enrollment, International Baccalaureate, Advanced Placement, K-12 Mathematics, Curriculum Development, Professional Development and district wide Common Assessment programs.

Dr. Roberts has authored six Mathematics books designed to increase student achievement. Finally, she has served as a Sunday school teacher for over 10 years.
