Corporate Financial Controller
Celia J. Barriteau CPA MBA joined Achieve in 2012 as the Corporate Financial Controller. As controller Ms. Barriteau leads the day to day accounting and finance operations and supports the CFO in the issuance of financial statements and preparation of grant reports.
Her career started in public accounting working primarily with commercial and residential property development and management clients. Upon completing her MBA she joined Mobil Oil Corporation reporting on crude oil sales in the Northwest European Region. In addition she provided on-site commodity traders with position reports on options and futures to aid in their hedging strategy against interest rate risk.
As her career goals shifted to the non-profit arena, she accepted a position as Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis at The University of Virginia Medical Center. There she worked with Senior Executives to develop the strategic financial plan model for the Medical Center. She has administered the budget process for a healthcare facility, worked on a $100 million dollar expansion of a hospital and established the financial proforma for an off-site emergency center in Maryland. Ms. Barriteau also served as a corporate financial controller for a healthcare facility providing senior living, independent living, and assisted living services.
Ms. Barriteau obtained her Master of Business Administration with a focus in Investment and Finance from George Washington University and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Mount Saint Mary’s College. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountant.
